An ambitious partnership conservation project

Working together to make Ingleborough the beacon for nature’s recovery in the Dales.

Our partners

Ingleborough and its iconic foothills are the last stronghold for many rare and threatened species, as well as one-third of Britain’s native flowers and ferns.

From the banks of the river Ribble to high up on Ingleborough’s fells, the Wild Ingleborough partnership is working together to create bigger, better and more connected areas of habitat that give these species the space they need to flourish, whilst simultaneously combating the impacts of the climate crisis.

Launched in 2021, the Wild Ingleborough partnership builds on decades of work by Natural England and Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, bringing together seven organisations with extensive scientific and conservation expertise.
